With so much beauty in San Diego county, it's hard to miss the reasons why our environment is so important. Of course we all want to preserve everything Southern California has to offer, but it has to be done in reasonable measures that don't negatively impact our way of life or the economy.
Have you ever sat back and wondered why? Why are there so many regulations? Have you ever said to yourself, that makes no sense? If the answer is yes then you're probably just like every other Californian. The fact of the matter is that overbearing, nonsense regulations are out of control and it flat out needs to be stopped. Yes we want to protect endangered species, yes we want to protect our environment, but do we really need billions of dollars to protect our wetlands in San Diego or to protect turtles? The answer to that is simply no. Protecting our environment and the species in it gets done through "doing", not "dollars". Regulations need to be rolled back to ensure we can do whats needed to protect San Diego, not give tax payer dollars away to corporations extorting our city.
Over the past five years the state California has spent over $9,000,000,000 every single year on environmental endeavors. Thats 9 billion tax payer dollars every single year. To put that in context, thats enough money to fix Californias entire problem of homelessness many times over. That's enough money to send every aspiring child to college. That's enough money to provide every Californian with health care. Not to mention the fact of how thats enough money to provide childcare for every family in need, giving working families a chance to get back to work when they need too so they can provide for their families.
Some laws just make sense, and well some... Just don't. There are so many laws and regulations in place, in just San Diego county alone to "protect the environment" that it makes no sense. The most common method used here is the traditional, "you can do this, but not that" legislation. Did you know that the already massive list of laws and regulations to "protect the environment" already grows by hundreds every year? Lets end this nonsense and put our tax dollars to work in better ways.
As is with all backwards governmental policy. The ones truly impacted and punished are the average citizens and the taxpayers as a whole. The whole of environmental standards set forth at the current level have become nothing more than a pay for play environment catering to large corporations and politicians looking to cash in on environmental policy. Is there any accountability? Absolutely not, there are back doors and loop holes for all violators if they have enough money and no problems actually get solved.
Of course if there is extreme taxation on the general public then there has to be loopholes for large corporations right? I wish this wasn't the case, but lobbying is so extreme in this industry that it's hard to ignore. I wouldn't be doing my job as a candidate if I didn't point out the over 30 million dollars lobbied to this industry every single year. Have you ever wondered where all that money goes? Maybe we should ask our current incumbent how rich he has gotten in congress.
The current science in this area is not only wrong but is more than misleading. Protect the environment, save the planet, drink clean water, breath clean air! All of these ideas on the surface seem great and if it were a reality it would be a fantastic feat in itself. But the fact of the matter is that the science presented is nothing more than a false cover for a book of lies. California, led by our incumbent, has wasted tax payer dollars and produced nothing but more pollution. Not only that, but the overbearing regulations put forth has pushed promising industries to other states and cost California thousands of jobs.
A sure fire way to crush any industry is excessive regulation. The state of California is already one of the most highly regulated locations in the world in terms of just about everything, and the environmental regulations put in place are no different. Why then does the federal government feel the need to impose even more stringent regulations on top of an already economy crushing state mandate? The solution is not regulation, it's less of it. Less regulation means less red tape to get through. Less bureaucracy leads to more efficiency, and more efficiency leads to more productive solutions.

To fix any problem you need real solutions. In addition, a real solution needs a call to action. Furthermore, to get people to comply you need incentive. For some reason the federal government hasn't figured this out yet. People are far more likely to listen and comply if you give them a positive reason too, rather than threatening them with some form of punishment. Don't we live in the land of the free? There are plenty of incentives that can be offered to comply with environmental standards without threatening people with governmental oversight and fines. Tax breaks, credits, and guaranteed grants just to name a few. When people want to comply, its better for everyone and the environment wins yet again.
Want to find out more on how incentives can create real solutions and promote a better environment? We have the answers.
Have you ever heard of a tax break? Of course and we all love them, and guess what? So do all forms of businesses. The current system put in place to protect our environment punishes certain industries through highly taxed and regulated pitfalls. This is by no means the solution and it not only hurts progression in the environmental industry, but also kills jobs and kills industry as a whole. The solution is tax breaks! Who would have thought! Reward based incentive to do the right thing, produce real solutions, and complying with environmental challenges is good for everyone. It helps businesses of all sizes, creates more jobs, brings new ideas to the table and guess what? It helps our environment because everyone wants to get a tax break for staying within a certain spectrum of operation. Lower taxes equal a cleaner environment!

The science to support climate change is real, and it cannot be denied or ignored any longer. However the science also shows that the way leaders have chosen to solve the problem has contributed to unnecessary pollution and green houses gases just to develop the infrastructure to clean alternatives. There are ways to transition into a cleaner, more energy friendly environment that big government refuses to address or even consider due to extreme lobbying, and District 52 is no different. Lets not forget that our current incumbent sits as the Chair of the "Climate Task Force," and just so happens to be one of the richest men in congress. Coincidence? You decide. I have real solutions, following real science, that keeps our environment a top priority. It creates "REAL" jobs all while "Never" impacting our environment with implementation of new solutions.

Since when did we let the government take control? What happened to the free market? What happened to true capitalism? Basic economics says if you cater to a free market that real solutions arise very quickly. This is bad for people with bad ideas, but good for people that can come up with real solutions. Guess what? This environment makes it a better world for us all as the top, most productive ideas thrive and there is constant competition to find better solutions. All government oversight does is employ cronies to keep things exactly the way they have been for generations. Big government says they are making progress, but if your honest with yourself, thats just not true. Need proof? Just look out of your front door, the evidence is everywhere. Our environment isn't improving, its falling apart while big companies and lawmakers get rich.

Is it just me, or is the government in a constant walk through he park, circling around the same failed solutions over and over again hoping for a different solution. Why is it that we keep waisting our hard earned taxpayer dollars on things that we have proven don't work? The government keeps trying to reinvent the wheel by building it a different way but still ends up with the same solution. Its madness! Since when did we become a nation of old Ideas? Its time to come up with new solutions, explore different sectors, reach out to differences of opinions, and come up with real productive solutions. Isn't that what America is all about? Having the freedom to choose the best possible outcome and be at the forefront of productivity? I think there are better alternatives than the status quo, and the government hasn't even tapped into other industries potential. I have better ideas and am more open minded. Its time for change!
